I see in the blank eyed, damned near drugged look on the faces of people when I try to convince them to prepare for what's coming. They'd rather accept a lie than face the truth. And I've had the feeling that they're well aware it's a lie but they'd rather just pretend none the less.
These same people will be the first ones to say they never saw it coming.
